How to get cashless ECHS treatment in Jammu & Kashmir

1. 1. Start at your polyclinic. For anything planned, report to the ECHS polyclinic you are attached to in Jammu & Kashmir. 2. 2. Carry a valid Smart Card. The 64-KB ECHS Smart Card is what proves entitlement. If yours has expired or is still pending, sort it out before you need treatment — an expired card turns a cashless admission into a reimbursement claim.
3. 3. Check the MOA is current. Empanelment runs on short Memorandum-of-Agreement cycles that lapse on fixed dates. Every facility on this site shows its MOA validity; if it has lapsed, reconfirm on www.echs.gov.in before admission.
4. 4. In an emergency, go straight there. For a genuine emergency you may report directly to any empanelled hospital in Jammu & Kashmir without a referral — but inform your parent polyclinic within 48 hours, or the cashless claim can be rejected.
